[kdepim-users] KMail - Replying in HTML

Two tips:
If you want to use Kmail, and need to preserve the original HTML in the
quote, forward as an attachment as a work-around. Not completely
satisfactory because you can't edit the attachment, but it serves part of
your purpose. Another problem is that the mail clients in many mobile
devices don't render attachments that are mail messages.
For business, use evolution. Supports a lot of stuff you need to work in MS
centric environments.
I fully understand the "devs are volunteers who aren't interested"
arguments. But not buying the "lack of security"/"should only send text"
arguments, as Kmail already supports a number of ways to draft or pass on
HTML.

Point taken.
It was meant to convey resignation and some irritation at the lost
opportunity for KMail (see my other notes in this thread if interested).
No demand was meant.
And BTW, for other followers of this mostly academic argument, Bug 86423 has
2460 votes and has been going since August 2004.
Doesn't matter though, because to quote Ingo:

So much for voting - it looks like 2460 of us just wasted our time.
As said - I like KMail very much, I'm just sad that its potential will not
be fully utilised and it will never gain a wider user base.
That in itself of course, puts it at risk.
