We are told it will work in 4.9, so I doubt it if you are using
mainstream packages.

Can't we kill this thread?  Akondi may well be worth while at the end,
but there are still problems - big ones.  We all know it.  The devs
know it, and are working on them.  Is there really anything more to be
said?
