You did not get that email due to:

Not sure, what's the issue here, though.

As stated in that email I do not remember telling anyone that a new language coordinator was found. There were two volunteers for moderating the mailing list and that's it. If I hinted towards anything more, that was not intended.
In my opinion a new coordinator would have to arise from the contributors and that sometimes takes a bit.
Also, there are lots of duties to potentially pick up. From wiki maintenance, over migrating away from phabricatore to running the Pology sync on a regular basis. So it might be good to figure out which ones are most important and currently not done so anyone willing to get their hands dirty could know better where to start.

BTW: if there is commercial interest in having a coordinator, then the company in need could always put some ressources on the problem. In other news ... I might be up for hiring in a few months. ;)

But you would be paid to do it, that makes it way more intruiging. :D
Also, educating developers on the senitive parts of i18n would be important and welcomed even by those developers.
