import file selection dialog filetype filtering

Hello,

Some time ago we improved the import dialog so that we select the filetype directly in the menu. I wonder if there are/were any specific reasons why the select-file dialog called from the following import-file-window does not filter for the selected filetype? (thanks to the new structure the filetype is already determined)


I choose "import SPSS" and searched for my file-to-be-imported. All files are shown. Searching would be easier if we only show .sav (at least optionally). It is not a severe problem, but if we could enable   this (in the dropdown in the file selector, where we currently only have "show all files") to filter for .sav with a few lines of code, it would be an easy gain (Toolkits I used in other languages often have an easy to set option for this, but sadly I don't know this for qt/KDE)
