Delay KDE 4.9 (Was: KDE 4.9 Beta 1 Tagging)

Allen, we need a decision in the very next days please as the Quality 
Team is preparing the Beta Testing and all our plans are to be reworked. 
And the delay and decisions need to be announced publicly as well.

As Albert asked: how much work will this be? what do you need as help?
delaying by 1 month will push the betas for Akademy time, is that a good 
plan?
