I'm sorry, but there's really no good reason why we should write three plugins 
instead of using what plasma already provides us. This also includes kickoff.

The other approach is a nice way to introduce bugs. There is no reason why we 
have to write two separate plugins for the UI, and plasma already provides a 
way to show background, and a way to get the (stanard) menu data. Duplication 
of code is bad, we should implement just what's really needed: a view. So we 
should simply use kickoff as backend, and just implement a painter delegate.

That's for the standard categories, other than that, we have a starting point.
