Regarding hosting, I'd just like to mention Hostsharing eG, a German hosting coop: https://www.hostsharing.net/

It's mainly targeted towards technically savvy users, but I don't think this will be a problem with this group.

Idealogically, I'd say they're very much aligned with us. Maybe some of the members would even like to support us in some way.

Anyway, just a suggestion.
