Yeah, I didn't mean to imply using the same actual QItemSelectionModel object.  I meant constructing a similar user interaction model: Highlight/Select an activity with mouse-over/arrow keys, Activate (zoom in /use) the activity with mouse-click-on-a-target or Enter key.

hehe, well maybe something similar to the arrows used on krunner or the comic plasmoid would be better...
