Next Tokamak

Hello everybody,

As most of you have probably noticed we (Qt Software) have released a new
Animation API and a new Kinetic project related to a declarative-ui and some
different GUI effects and new improvements.
We want to have the Plasma team here in Oslo in our office when next Tokamak
will happen. The question is why?

First, to have feedbacks from Plasma that will probably use heavily our
stuff. Have this meeting will be an opportunity to bring you lot of cool
features for next release of Qt.
Second, you (Plasma Team) will be able to discuss with us to build Plasma on
top of this project for KDE 4.3
Third. you will have plenty of Qt engineers for you for all aspects of Qt
(Svg, QGraphicsView, Layouts, Style...). You will have answers to improve
Plasma.
Four, link closer KDE and Qt Software.

Abstract :

When? 1 to 8 February 2009. Just after the release of 4.2.
Who? Plasma Team
Why? Plasma in KDE 4.3 with kinetic.

I remember that there is an another proposition for Tokamak. So people can
choose the best place for this meeting. Of course, here in Qt Software we
want you! :p

Details :
----------------------

Location : Oslo Norway in Qt Software Office. There is a big airport in Oslo
and frequent flight from Amsterdam and all countries. The city is at 15 min
by train from the airport and the office is at 25 min from the Oslo Central
Station.

Hotel : We know a decent hotel near the Office, less than 10 min by bus. A
person here will be in charge to check that and i will check too.

Workplace : One big conference room and several small offices. Conference
room include a big screen and everything needed to plug laptops.

Food : Every lunch, people can eat in the canteen of the Qt Software for
free. For dinner we are in Oslo, everything is close there are plenty of
restaurants. For breakfast it will be included in the Hotel.

Agenda : No really agenda, but we want to introduce you the project, why
this project, our goals, our choices, the future. Meetings can be organize
to talk about different parts of the project (animation, states,...). Then
after we can share point of view, have dicusions of how we can use that
in Plasma and help you with the API/creation of applets using this. Coding
sprint can be organize.

Maximum number of attendees : 15.

As a part of both teams, i really want this meeting happen here in Oslo. If
