Debian's BTS has this nice feature of tagging a bugreport as "forwarded
upstream" which should include a reference to the upstream bugreport in
the body of the message setting this flag. IMHO this is badly needed for
KDE's bugzilla as well. IIRC I've sent this suggestion to Matt Rogers
already (in private mail), but to make sure I'll CC him in this email.
