that bothers me, especially as I can't think why plasma would have such
issues.
Maybe there is something about the pixmap format of oowriter's icon? If
something like that is the case, it feels like something that could, and
should, be worked around. There's passing the buck, and there's the
reality that you're accepting a lousy user experience because "it's not
our problem", even if you might be able to do something about it.

I don't see what C++ has to do with keeping people from shooting
themselves in the foot. C++ will happily load the gun, offer you a
