The Applet should probably take care of resizing its graphics, based on that
size the background should be drawn (like it is right now), than
transformation like rotate should take place. We don't want to resize the
background picture, at least not as long as it's a pixmap.
Not sure if the applets properly size right now (the battery looked a bit like
an upscaled pixmap), the plain clock looked quite OK (rendered text scales
well?).
This is my observation from last night, anyway.
