I changed my mind once I actually started using it; made more sense to store 
config per engine, not per source.
I'm using it to save twitter password(s). all the other config turned out to 
be unnecessary once I refactored things well enough.

however, my nice clean proper code actually worked *less* reliably than the 
old weird stuff - found the cause last night. bug in dataengine. was offline 
though, stupid school network... I'll fix after class today.
