I have made a debian sarge packages. They can be found at:

Note, that I'm not a Debian Developer, and I'm pretty new to debian 
packaging. Also I did not have much time, so I there are even known 
problems.
That said the package should be perfect for testing. It needs more work for 
including it into the debian distribution.

I will commit the debian files to the CVS unless somebody wants to provide 
some better packaging.
