Just a stupid question: have you switched on "capture"??
(press c)

The video capture gives me problems on my side. Nothing is captured.
I
think it was said some time ago that capturing still has to be looked
at.
Apparently you could play back with Xine (I tried mplayer - a great
player at that).
I use "vcr" (consol based) or "dvr" (gui-based) to capture video.
"vcr" does
an excellent job.
dvr needs avifile0.6 I had lots of problems compiling this one, but
finally found
a version compiling. Let me know if you want to know more.
vcr works best with avifile0.53, but 0.53 and 0.6 live happily together
on my
machine. Anyway let me know if you need more.

I don't think it will scale in a 1600x1200 screen. What you can do, is
to set up
your system for modes of 1600x1200 (in /etc/XF86Config-4, change
(mode "1600x1200") to (mode "1600x1200" "640x480"). Myne looks like
this - quite
at the end of the file

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Screen0"
Device "NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX (generic)"
        Monitor "Monitor0"
    DefaultDepth 24

    Subsection "Display"
            Depth 24
                Modes "1024x768" "640x480"
    EndSubsection

)
Restart your x-server.
Now set up your kwintv to automatically switch to the "640x480" screen
size. It is
somewhere under the configuration options.

This will solve your problem - works quite well.
(Alt+Control+plus/minus) will switch modes as well. Bit of jippo, but
who'l know?

Cheers,
Jan Tait
