Could you be more specific?  I think I've covered some of this already and it was 
addressed by Akarsh Simha.  It seem that Kstars does in fact have a good 
interface for taking notes except that it is broke. I'd like to think of noting more 
like research notes.  As I've previously stated we observer often go back to the 
same objects many times over the course of our hobby,  The reasons vary as to 
the conditions under which any object is viewed.  So I don't just see just a single 
note taking ability, numerous notes for any given object.

I understand you have a small team and very limited time to do this volunteer 
work.  I assume you are apply for the Google Summer of Code?  Have you picked 
with feature you want addressed?  My vote, if I had one would be to get the note 
taking feature fix and implemented.

Honestly wish I could help, but I don't know the first thing about programming and 
I'm a lousy problem solver.

I'd love to hear what are the immediate priorities for the Kstars team are.  It must 
be are what to add new features when you know there is some many outstanding 
issues that need to be addressed.
