Hi Jaap,

Great to hear from you and the translation team!

kst2 is still being actively developed and we are still using the kde
svn server, etc.

However, when we started the port to QT4, KDE4 was still pretty rough
around the edges (and not released yet), so in the first instance, we
developed for QT4 only. It is working well
as a tri-platform app (mac, win, linux). We have been supporting
deb packages in an ubuntu ppa, and are about to try to get it put into the
main debian and ubuntu streams. I believe that Matt is also supporting
fedora packages.

We have been discussing on and off whether we should convert it back to
a true KDE app, but we have not yet done so. We are worried that
doing so would make it harder to support on Macs, and also potentially on
Windows. On the other hand, being in KDE extragear would mean translations!

In anticipation of a potential future switch back to KDE, we have wrapped
QT4's tr() in our own "i18n()". In principle, it should be translatable, but
I have no idea how to do it, having never done it.

We have not yet written documentation for kst2, but I have tentatively lined
someone up to work on this over the summer.

Directions on how to find and download kst2 on the kst web page (kst.kde.org).

In particular, kst is at "/home/kde/branches/work/kst/portto4/kst" on
the svn server.

What are your thoughts, as a KDE translator, on how we should proceed?

Thanks again!
