    I think it's possible, but you might be better off waiting for  
Kst 2 to do this.  Kst 2 was built with extensibility in mind.  It  
should really facilitate your ability to add new graph types.  There  
is a beta available for download now, in source form.  It also will  
work on Windows and Mac OS.
