Rick,

Regarding the question of converting events to markers, and what kind of 
vector to take....

Lets have it take a curve.  Then we can use an equation, or a data field, or 
output from a plugin  to generate our event vector on historical data without 
having to overload events with having to be more than one thing (eg, 
generating events on historical data).

I suggest that the rule could be either leading (0 to non zero) or trailing 
(non-zero to zero) edge or both, user selectable..  The marker would be at X 
of the first or last non-zero point.

Thoughts?
