What I was trying to say is that you can only use a webclient online.
Other drawback would be that it creates relevant load on the server
and that it is quite an effort to (ab)use HTML as a GUI toolkit.

The current KDE Kolab client can be used offline
which does not have these drawbacks.

Yes, a full Kolab webclient has to be served by a webserver.
Still it is quite some work.

Depending on what you understand by CRM
you can add CRM to your IT solution without interfering with Kolab.

A webbrowser has specific drawbacks.
Still it would be nice to have one and to integrate more features,
like CRM or more scheduling.

You will have seen from our FAQ that the Kroupware
Project aims to solve a defined set of problems.
We'll note possible additions, but cannot say
if an when they'll be realised.

Depends on how broad you take the subject.

Kolab's concept of contacts are "personal" contacts so far.
It is possible to manage some tasks with shared contacts,
but some possibilities of workflowing contacts with further attributes=20
cannot be modelled easily yet.

The Kolab concept does not include document management.

Probably possible to model this type of task.

Out of scope for Kolab so far, this really is orthogonal. :)

This would be a special understanding of "groupware".=20
Many groupware software does not aim at external contract management.
Kolab aims at asyncronos groupware functionality
mainly at e-mails, contacts (like a good paper addressbook) and appointment=
s.

Both will a huge amount of work that the companies doing the Kroupware Proj=
ect
will not be able to do quickly without funding.=20

Thanks for your feedback,
