Just because something is not "widely supported within the community"=20
doesn't mean it's proprietary??? Why whould you claim such a thing?
Anyway, there have been so many attempts at free software groupware=20
solutions that people are generally scheptic about someone claiming to=20
have something. What we're doing is to provide the first implementation=20
and then it's up to the community to embrace it or not.
We can't force community support down the communitys throat.
Sorry to sound a bit harsh here, but that was a pretty hard statement you=20
gave :-(

I don't mind repeating this again: We are concerned about the KDE client,=20
the server and Outlook integration. Beyond this, I really hope other=20
projects like Evolution, Mozilla, OO... pick it up. We're here if they=20
have any questions we can help them with.
But we're not going to provide code to these projects, and I have=20
difficulty understanding why you should think we should do this. When=20
Mozilla made their calendar, were you there to say they failed unless=20
they made sure that KOrganizer could work with it?
The community support comes from the individual projects, not from us.=20
That is the way it has always worked.

I don't care about domination of one project over the other or not. I'm=20
using the KDE client, so I worry about that, and that there's nothing on=20
the KDE client side that prevents cooperation with other clients. If one=20
of the other projects have some problem with the KDE client behaviour,=20
I'll fix that.
Bo.
