Another idea has been, that the Program ( ;-) ) will always=20
downsyncronize contacts, mails, notes and so on,  for offline=20
use. So one can go away and has all information with him.

As soon the server is reachable again, the connection should=20
be offered to the user:

'It seems that the server now is reachable. Do you want to be=20
connected and synconized?

Username[                      ]
Password [                      ]
'

I know about a company where the ability of OL=20
downsyncronizing all kind of information was the reason for=20
buying exchange.

You can also make OL to store older data on the local machine=20
and remove from the server. This also is a very nice feature=20
to save disk space on the server but the user yet has the=20
possibility to look for older information.
