Thanks for the heads up. We where finally able to compile the kmail 
client. We had tremendous problems
because we first used the kde3.1 rc5. After fixing that one, there where 
still compile problems with some
applications. We commented them out because we where only interested in 
kmail at that point.


Summary:

outlook <-> outlook   ok
outlook ->    kmail       ok
kmail    ->     outlook    NO does not work
kmail   <->    kmail       ok


Outlook is not interpreting the sent message right, or the MIME email is 
not in the right format.
I'll dig a little deeper when time allowes.
