Many thanks - that setting looks to fix it :)

   i.e.
"If so, if they do not show individually in the report, it is possible 
that you need to enable this.  Go to Settings>Configure 
KMM>General>>Filter, and click 'Show equity accounts'. "

Brill - the report now has no old securities in it :)
