Let's give that a try then. Before I jot some command lines here, I want you to make a backup of your data. Just in case.

1) Visit https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Nightly_Appimage_Build/ and download the latest successful artifact (which is currently around 180 MB).
2) Save the file in your local directory folder (e.g. your user home directory - which I will use in the following)
3) Make that file executable (the number in the filename may change depending on changes we make)

   cd $HOME
   chmod 755 kmymoney--7152278-x86_64.appimage

4) Execute the program (again, the number may be different)

   ./kmymoney--7152278-x86_64.appimage


You are now running a very current software version of KMyMoney. It is build daily, so when we change something you have it the next day. You should try that. It does not solve your problems, but you make sure to have things in place once they are available.
