KMyMoney

This program looks worthy to replace Quicken that I have been using for 30 years. It appears all the basics are there but could use some interface refinements that would greatly improve usability.

  1. Option to hide retired accounts instead of strike-through. Have a check box to show all accounts.
  2. Move "KMyMoney views” icons into a menu. Having them visible at all times is not a time saver.
  3. Have accounts listed on left side of Ledger page, replacing "KMyMoney views” for quick selection – the current selector is clunky
  4. Ability to organize accounts other than alphabetically. I like to group high use accounts together.
  5. Ability to store bank login information to launch the proper URL of my bank. Your current method of “Map to online account” doesn’t seem to work in Canada. Currently, I open my online bank and just download directly to KMyMoney.
  6. Allow selection of account to dump data into regardless of its type. I have one bank that classifies both its chequing and savings accounts as SAVINGS, and another bank that classifies them both as CHECKING.
