invenstment transaction report question

What if you recorded it as a "sell" in the investment account, but send the funds to a special "charity" account(s) instead of the (Brokerage) account. Then withdraw the funds from the "charity" account to show that you don't actually have the money.
 
This should allow reports to be made. But it does misrepresent reality a little bit. Maybe you document that in the memos.
