[Kmymoney-devel] [kmymoney4] [Bug 321156] When i try to use the backup function from the File menu I get an error message "Error copying File to Device".

Just to be clear, are you saying your problem no longer exists?  Above, you
only go as far as saying that ">.... KMM seems to work OK now. ", whereas I
thought that the issue occurred after you had done the initial backup, and then
attempted to copy that file to your external drive.  On the attempted second
session, you originally got a warning that that file name already exists, but
this not occurring tied in with the error message you got instead.

If you should get a recurrence, for your second attempt, try saving to a
different folder, then compare that file name with the first one.  Are they in
fact the same?  Another idea might be to use a different name for the second
file, if you get a warning, followed by an error.  Also, I assume there is
adequate free space on your external?
