It sounds like the file somehow got deleted (while KMM was not running) and KMM
started up and didn't find the file it wanted to open, so it tried to create a
new one.  I agree that doesn't seem likely, but it would match if the current
file is essentially an empty, new .kmy file with no accounts and no data.

Davie - I assume you have checked any trash or wastebasket if your desktop
environment or window manager has one?
