Are you sure that's the problem?
That commit is very old, and many of us have compiled from scratch since
then.
I switched distros last week and installed from a clean SVN.

Perhaps there's something else that is causing.BTW, I don't set any of the
flags to install the plugins, perhaps that's important in this case.
