Hi Cyrille,

For starters, I have just tried to open a jpeg image but Krita crashes as
soon as I press the button open.
I am working on Krita 2.3 (beta 2) on Kubuntu Maverick (KDE 4.5.1).
I don't know whether this bug has already been fixed in the Krita Trunk
version :-)

These are my steps:
1. I start krita from the Kubuntu terminal
2. Krita fires up and I press the button "Open", in the "File" menu.
2. A new windows pops up. The message is: "An autosaved file exists for this
document. Do you want to open it instead?"
3. If I press yes Krita crashes all the sudden. 
I have copied below the message in the terminal [1].
4. I have even recorded a video about this crash, with all my steps and, if
necessary I can send it to Lukas :-)

BTW, If I press "No", which appears to be the right option :-) , to the
message above mentioned, Krita starts and I have tried the record feature
:-)

To tell you the truth, in the end, I didn't figure out how it works :-(

In short, I have tried to record this action:
1. I press the red button to start recording ("Tool" > "Recording" > "Start
recording macro)
2. I apply a filter to my image (Filter > adjust > burn).
3. When I press the button "Stop recording macro" a new windows pops up and
I am supposed to "open" some sort of Krita image...
I am a bit puzzled, because I don't know why I should "open" something
instead of saving my action, in order to reuse it later.
Quite probably, at present, I am far too much "formatted" with the Photoshop
workflow :-)

At present, I prefer not to waste your time further.

I will wait for some more documentation :-)
I know reading tutorials and applying them is the right way to use softwares
