Krita Dodge/Burn: How??

I'm afraid I myself can't help you, but I've made a note and will try to add
more information on it to the manual.  Apart from the fact that I seem to have a
version that likes to go and lie down flat on the ground, painting modes and
effects are difficult to document, so they often get postponed.

The only dodging and burning I've been able to do reasonably well is using them
as layer modes -- I was about to give you a link, but the 1.6 branch docs are
not mirrored on docs.kde.org. 

Hope someone else can shed some more light :)
