Yes. Agree.

Disagree-ish. The problem with  "view is not showing the extraction" location.
Since you have the options to extract it to a subfolder or auto detect (create
a sub folder if there are files in the root of the archive, else don't) it is
very hard for ark or dolphin to correctly decide if there already is an
instance showing the location.  Personally I'd not want a window at all, in any
case, it steals the focus and it annoys me. Other people might want it. So I
think the only option is to either make it configurable or offer both kind of
service menu entries  (extract versus extract and show)

Maybe something to discuss in the VDG channel, I poked you there.
