noob - search box - malformed URL - seeking directions, please

Please pardon the noob question and Hello to all!

Love the konq, she flies with the wind, but I struggle to 
keep her shipshape when sailing into the breeze.

Have rtfm, have rtffaq, have searched konq.home + dribble 
(wrong terms? don't know what that search box thing is called)
Install (intel 64 opensuse 10.3 - kde) as uk lang ('cos am OZ, 
and while I hate it, its not as bad as u$a and the best I can do), 
so need to reset search (eg. change dribble.co.uk to 
dribble.com.au) but used the wrong knot ... so:
malformed url, malformed url, malformed url .. oh dear!

konq s'box calls: www.google.com.au/search?q=\{@}&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
bad grammer, I know, but this colonial convict can't fix it ... 

(OT: Gumbaynggir baby me, long time in jail Her Majesty 
back still scarred from her cat-o-nine tails, speak horrible 
e-n-g-l-i-s-h, (uggh! no song, no heart, no care country) 
and I have 600 hundred Aussie languages to learn as they 
disappear daily before my weeping eyes. So Europe man,
talking code is a challenge for me. /OT).

Can kind person point me to right road (have eyes, can see).
