OK.
(isn't documentPath labelled "Documents" rather than "User Files" in the current
kcontrol module? I didn't check)

Well, this would break for people who use konqueror mostly as a filemanager
(and e.g. firefox as web browser). You say below "I do not understand the 
objections since the default could be exactly the same." -- item 2 changes
the defaults (the behavior of the Home button in konqueror).
But if we're talking about trunk and not about 3.x then we can actually change
the defaults, so why not.
