As a matter of fact, no. 

You can probably find some random obscure shortcut, but that won't qualify for 
elegant or usable, and isn't even standard accross applications.

And you don't need to unleash your rage on primary selection either, because 
it addresses all other basic issues of replacing existing text in location 
bar, in a simple and self-documented way.

In the standard scenario, you chose an existing konqueror view you want to 
recycle, clear its URL with the button, and starts typing your new URL right 
ahead. Obvious. This just blows off the competition as far as usability is 
concerned.

I'm really surprise you don't use that?
I think pretty much every non-masochist konqueror user do... :)

right, that hack works, but it is unreliable (as to be supported by every 
kpart, need empty place in view, etc...), undocumented, very insecure, and 
doesn't address manually typing an address to replace an existing one.
