Are you sure? Isn't it a convenient way to save a HTTP or FTP file, seen on a webpage,
into your own local folders? You can open the sidebar and drag-n-drop the file there.
I think there might be some sense in having sane defaults for the sidebar tabs
depending on the profile (e.g. no bookmarks tab for filemanager), but let's 
not remove too much.

Really? I can't see the code that would do that?
