Do the cookies have an expire date?

It should do so automatically actually.

You can use:
	dcop kded kcookiejar 'findCookies(QString)' http://www.kde.org
to check cookies that are set for a particular site.

And you can use:
	dcop kded kcookiejar 'addCookies' http://www.kde.org 'Set-Cookie: foo=bar;
path=/;expires=Sun, 25-Oct-2003 20:27:58 GMT' 0
to expire a particular cookie.
