Gideon PHP (& other perhaps) bug

It is actually not a gideon bug, but a bug with certain KDE and Qt version 
which we haven't fully figured out yet: 
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53442

Upgrading to KDE 3.1 fixes it, any clues how this can be fixed for KDE 3.0.x 
are welcome!
