problem with 2.1.3... crash during project open

Hi all.

We have a somwhat archaic build script which we wrapped into a simple kdevelop project. Recently, whenever a project is being opened, it hangs, then afterward when we try to open it is crashes:

Alarm clock


I upgraded to RedHat 8.0 in order to get the kde/qt setup current but it doesn't make any difference... Same symptoms. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on or what we can do to fix this?
