problem while debuging

Hi
I have had a lot of problems with Kdevelop 2.1.3-3 + gcc 3.2 + gdb 5.2.1-4 
(all distributed in the new RedHat Linux ver 8.0 Distribution). 
The worse one is that when I debugg a program with kdevelop, the PC turn 
criticaly slow. I can't finish the debuggin session, I have to stop or 
something (the debugger I guess) eat my resourses.
Hve any one reference about it?
I have notice this in three diferent PCs
