Gigeon on KDE2

Sorry if this has been asked on this list before.

Can Gideon be run on RedHat 7.1?  That version has
kde2, or do I need to first upgrade to kde3.

If I do need to upgrade to kde3, is there a simple rpm
or a single tar'ed source file that I can download?

It appears that migrating from kde2=>kde3 requires
downloading several (50+) separaterite files.  Is this
right?
