Problem while configuring 1.4

Hello! 

I had downloaded kdev 1.4 and I tried to configure it (following the
instructions)

I have Mandrake 7.2 with almost everything installed (lazy to select,
just hit everything). No special kernel for now, no additonal installs

First I had error that I do not have qt. Fine, go, download,install,
compile qt. Went fine
After that, I had error (sort of, this is not the exact text)
configure[6609]: mcopidl not found

What's happening? Someone told me it might be the xdevelop library, but
I have it?
