kdbg & kdev 1.4

Hi,
I installed kdev 1.4 on Tru64 with KDE2.1.1. The debugger can not start
because kdbg is needed. So I downloaded a tarball but it could not be
configured because the rule QT >1.42 or QT<2.0 was not verified.

Isn't there really another solution than installing QT1.44 for instance
?
