Hi Werner !
I'm glad to see that you could be interested !
Unfortunately, I don't think that ODBC support will be one of my
priority...
I've never been able to have an ODBC connection to work under Linux (I
haven't searched much also...).
Indeed, postgreSQL is shipped with all the headers and libraries needed
to develop for, so it should be easiest to have it work quite rapidely.
I've tested this yesterday evening at home, and wrote a sample program
that querries a database. It is quite easy to do, believe me !
As for the "datawidget" project, I've never heard of it before you told
me, but it could be a starting point (why not ?). I'll look forward to
see what it deals with by the next days. For now, I'll see to have an
interface that works, and I'll see later for the whereabouts and others
extentions.
I think that odbc could be interesting, but I beg you to understand me :
my goal is to do something for postgreSQL, cause I've been using it for
a few months now, and I feel I must contribute to this !
Thanks anyway for your concern.
Best regards.

David BOURIAUD.
P.S. When I have something substantial to propose, I'll see how to share
it with others, so as to have testers and people to tell me what they
think about it... Quite a fair affair !
