Hello,

someone mailed me the following error. I don't really know the reason, but I
guessed that the problems are, that the configure script tries to link the
qt2.x libaries with the kde 1.1.2 libraries.
Has someone any other ideas?

Florian

Hi there.
Sorry to bother you, but i've been to your web page at
http://www.fpaetz.de/kwav2cd.html and the majority is in german.

I downloaded both verion 0.3 & 0.2 of KWAV2CD and i'm having some problems
compiling it. Just wondered if you could take a minute and see if you
notice anything terribly wrong.
I'd appreciate it and i'd like to use KWAV2CD soon.

The problem i'm having is in just running the 'configure' script before even
compiling:

checking for msgfmt... /usr/bin/msgfmt
checking for gmsgfmt... /usr/bin/msgfmt
checking for xgettext... /usr/bin/xgettext
checking for KDE... libraries /usr/lib, headers /usr/include/kde
checking for extra includes... no
checking for extra libs... no
checking for kde headers installed... yes
checking for kde libraries installed... configure: error: your system fails
at linking a small KDE application!
Check, if your compiler is installed correctly and if you have used the
same compiler to compile Qt and kdelibs as you did use now

Do you have any idea what that message means?
Do i have to install all new KDE libs & files?

Here's my setup:
A Redhat 6.1 clean install, with both KDE installed.

Here's all the versions of KDE & qt.

[abcd at efgh /home/abcd/kwav2cd-0.3]# rpm -q -a | grep kde
kdeadmin-1.1.2-3
kdebase-1.1.2-10
kdebase-lowcolor-icons-1.1.2-10
kdegames-1.1.2-2
kdegraphics-1.1.2-2
kdelibs-1.1.2-9
kdelibs-devel-1.1.2-9
kdemultimedia-1.1.2-3
kdenetwork-1.1.2-4
kdesupport-1.1.2-3
kdetoys-1.1.2-2
kdeutils-1.1.2-2
switchdesk-kde-1.7.1-1
[craig at wombat /home/abcd/kwav2cd-0.3]# rpm -q -a | grep qt
qt-2.0.1-5
qt-devel-2.0.1-5
qt1x-1.44-4
qt1x-devel-1.44-4
[abcd at efgh /home/abcd/kwav2cd-0.3]#

I'd prefer not to re-install all those libraries again, so if you have any
other suggestions, i'd love to hear & try them.

Thanks,
