Project or no Project ?

hi there

first of all i want to thank you for this good work. fine
piece of work ;-)

after using kdevelop for a while there is still on question bugging me. 
i want to use kdevelop for some lectures so that the students don't have
to know anything about gcc or gdb or anything alike and just enter the
source-code they want to use into the editor, then press a key and voila
the code is compiled and ready to run/debug.
is there any way to do this, or do i always have do go through the
"create new project" thing ?
