Hi Gary,
Be a bit more specific, maybe it is OK, after all some operators ARE global
functions (e.g. '<<' and '>>', or at least they are very commonly used as
friend functions). This could be of course in some way a nice feature of the
class parser to allow grouping some function in a class sub-tree (like \relates
directive in Doxygen documentation generation).
