Don't know what to download for upgrade

I have experienced it impossible to use Madrake upgrade from as a non
priviledged user although it asks for my root password. But it seems to
work when I am logged in as root. This of cause is against all security
rules - but what the heck.
A better solution and the right solution is to download (as non
priviledged user) the upgrades from Mandrakes homepage and install the
manually  thereafter as root.
