Yes, the "other functions in the same file" dropdown box is exactly what I 
wanted to put in there. Currently, that box is in the code-browser, but since 
it fits into that space so nicely, and the space is empty, it would be better 
off there. Also there would be one per split-view. So we need an interface to 
put widgets into that space, and we need a notification that a different file 
has been opened in the attached view.

Vladimirs breadcrumb-thing would just be an improved multi-level version of 
this, and could replace that dropdown once it's ready.
